Bayan Tree Hotels and Resorts (BTHR) was founded by Ho Kwong Ping, a travel enthusiast and former journalist, and his wife Claire Chang, a strong advocate of corporate social responsibility. A brand synonymous with private villas, tropical garden spas, and retail galleries promoting traditional craft, Bayan Tree Hotels and Resorts received its first guest in 1994 in Phuket, Thailand. by early 2009, Bayan Tree Hotels and Resorts managed and/ or ownership interest in 25 resorts and hotels, 68 spas, 65 retail galleries, and two golf courses in 55 location in 23 countries.

Bayan Tree's idea of entering the luxury resorts market was inspired by the gap in the hotel industry that giant chains such as the Hilton and Shangri-La could nit fill. Unlike most other resorts then, Bayan Tree resorts comprised individual villas that came with a private pool or spa treatment room, each designed to offer guests exclusivity and utmost privacy.

All Bayan Tree hotels and resorts were designed around the concept of providing "a sense of place" to reflect and enhance culture and heritage of the destination. To create a sense of exotic sensuality and ensure the privacy of its guest, the resorts are designed to blend into the natural landscape of the surrounding environment and use the natural foliage and boulders as the privacy screen.

The furnishing of Bayan Tree villas were deliberately native to convey the exoticism of the destination with its rich local flavor and luxurious feel. The resorts' local flavor was also reflected in the services offered, some of which were unique to certain resorts. Bayan Tree hotels and Resorts consistence with the brand promise of romance and intimacy. Besides that, it also offered wedding package in which couples were blessed by Buddhist monks.

Another draw of the resorts was the Bayan Tree spa, found at every Bayan Tree property. The pioneer of the tropical garden spas concept, Bayan Tree Spas offered a variety of aromatic oil massage, and face and body beauty treatments using traditional Asian therapies, with a choice of indoors or outdoors treatment.

In line with Bayan Tree's ethos of conserving local of culture and heritage and promoting cottage crafts, Chiang founded the Bayan Tree Gallery, a retail outlet showcasing indigenous crafts. Bayan Tree Gallery outlets were sets up in each resort. Items sold were made by local artisans and included traditionally women handmade fabrics, garments, jewelery, handicrafts, tribal art, and spa accessories such as incense candles and massage oils that guests could use at the home to recreate the Bayan Tree experience.

Besides the Great Wall of China, Taj Mahal is also one of the places that listed in Seven Wonders of the World record. Taj Mahal was located in Agra, India. Taj Mahal has their own legend and history. According to the history, Taj Mahal was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory for his third wife Mumtaz Mahal. It was built back in 17th century.

Taj Mahal is widely known as "the jewel of Muslim art in India. Taj Mahal is a style that combines elements from Persian, Turkish and Indian architectural styles. The construction of Taj Mahal began around 1632ans it was complete around 1653. It involves thousand of employees of the artisans and craftsmen. The Taj Mahal was constructed by using materials from all over India and Asia such as Afghanistan, Sri Langka, Arabia, Punjab, China and so on. Taj Mahal has unique mosque, Mausoleum, Garden and others.

The Great Wall of China is one of the place listed in seven Wonders of the World. It was located at Beijing, China. The Great Wall of China was built around 7th century. After that, it was rebuilt and reconstructed during the Ming Dynasty. We can see this Great Wall from Mutiayu and Badaling, Beijing. There are ore purposes of Great Wall of China and one of them is it serve as a transportation corridor. Research show by using advance technology, the Great Wall of China has concluded that all the walls measure 8,851.8 km.

















Before the use of bricks the Great Wall of China was built built using a wood and stones. After that, during the Ming Dynasty it was built using bricks in many areas of the wall, as were materials such as tiles, lime and stone. Based on the fact, the size and weight of the bricks is made them easier to build the wall, so construction will finish quickly.
